Fiji conjures up images
of a stereotypical island getaway: honeymooning couples, exotic landscapes,
high-end resorts, and thanks to the recent category 5 cyclone Winston-natural
disasters. But prospective travelers shouldn’t be deterred, as there is so much
more to this South Pacific archipelago than one might think!
Fiji is a mélange of several cultures, each with their own unique cuisines, traditions and histories. You can find Hindu temples and Indian food, a sizeable Chinese diaspora, indigenous Fijian celebrations and infamous yaqona drink, as well as a parliament, developed economy, and sports like cricket due to European colonization.

Most of the islands are uninhabited, which means miles of white sand dotted
with palm trees amidst crystal blue waters. Talk about long walks on the beach!
And while there are several luxurious resorts, there are also numerous
highly-rated hotels and hostels for as little as 6$ a night!
There is a plethora of things to do in Fiji that will suit just about any personality type! For the outdoorsy and adventurous, there is zip lining, snorkeling, cave & scuba diving, and for the more artsy and leisurely inclined, there is museums, cultural centers, and plenty of exquisite food.

everyone to discover, appreciate and delight in.

Eastern Europe
Bled Castle, Bled, Slovenia

Now that the Euro has not only surpassed the dollar, but presently ranks in the
top 10 most valuable currencies, many travelers may forgo a trip to Europe
believing it comes with too hefty a price tag. Au contraire, ma cher!
Europe is most often thought of in terms of its Western and Southern regions, with the East neglected all together. It’s a shame, because Eastern Europe has just as much astounding history, culture and majesty, and it won’t burn a hole in your pocket!
Occasionally referred to as the “second world”, Eastern Europe is a blend of modernity and old-world tradition. Islam and Orthodox Christianity have had immense influence in this part of the world which can be seen in the architecture alone.
